Shasha had a kid and died giving birth. The king drank until he was drunk. Shasha raised Peter to have manners and be polite. The king had a dinner and Peter and Shasha atended the dinner. Peter was tought to be polite before the dinner. Peter was good at the dinner but was kinda rude. He wiped his hands on his shirt and pants.

What are your characters like? Do you like them or not? It has been so long since I read this book that I don't remember much about it, but I know there is an evil guy in it eventually.
